On Monday, unknown shooters killed three fighters of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), Northern Aleppo, Northern Syria.

The HTS is an Islamist opposition faction previously known as the al-Nusra Front, consisting of fighting groups including the Haqq Brigade, Jabhat Ansar al-Din, and Jaysh al-Sunnah.

Local activists reported that the unknown gunmen stormed an HTS headquarters in the al-Kastilo area, Northern Aleppo, killing three HTS fighters.

The activists circulated a voice recording for an HTS fighter saying that two of the fighters were praying and the third was sleeping.

Earlier on Monday, unknown detonators attempted to assassinate a military commander in the Saraqib sector belonging to the HTS in the city of Saraqib, Eastern Idlib. The specialized sides detonated a bomb, which the detonators planted near the commander’s vehicle, injuring a child with common injuries.

Bombs and car bomb explosions have been common in the Idlib governorate for nine months. The explosions targeted civilians, HTS fighters and commanders, and commanders in the Free Syrian Army, killing and injuring dozens of them. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for some of the explosions; however, the perpetrators of most of the explosions remain unknown.
