Unknown shooters assassinate Hayat Tahrir al-Sham security adviser

On Tuesday, unknown shooters assassinated the security advisor of Abu Muhammad al-Jawlani, the commander of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), Southern Idlib, Northern Syria.

Local activists reported that unknown shooter shot the al-Jawalni’s  Saudi security adviser, who is called Abu Yusuf al-Jazrawi on the road between the villages of Jozef and Ma’rata.  

Media outlets close to the Islamic State (IS) reported that shots near the village of Jozef killed al-Jazrawi; however, the outlets did not attribute al-Jazrawi assassination to the IS.

On Monday, unknown shooters killed an HTS fighter on the road between the town of Darkoush and village of Azmarin,Western Idlib.

Assassinations and explosions have been frequent in the Idlib governorate, targeting military commanders and members of the Free Syrian Army, Islamist battalions, and civilians, killing and injuring dozens of them. The perpetrators of the explosions and assassinations remain unknown.
