Deir al-Zor - SMART

International Coalition airstrikes killed a civilian and injured six others, all of them women and children, in the town of al-Sousse, 126 kilometers southeast of Deir al-Zor, Eastern Syria.

A local source told SMART that the International Coalition aircraft bombed the town, which is controlled by the Islamic State (IS). The source added that the injured were four children and two women.

The source stated that the International Coalition aircraft had been intensively shelling the city of Hajin and the town of al-Sousse since midnight.

The source also said that the International Coalition aircraft dropped leaflets on the city of al-Shaafa. The leaflets demanded civilians to leave the IS-controlled areas "at any price" because they will start a military operation near the city and its surroundings.

Earlier, the IS launched a counter-attack on the vicinity of the Hajin and al-Shaafa cities and the village of al-Bahra, killing and injuring Syrian Democratic Forces members.
