Syrian government forces shell Hama, killing and wounding National Liberation Front fighters

On Saturday, Syrian government forces shelled the National Liberation Front positions (NLF),  north and west of Hama, Central Syria, killing two fighters and wounding six of them.

Local activities told SMART that the Syrian government forces based in the al-Masasna village shelled the vicinity of the city of al-Lataminah with missiles, killing two fighters and wounding three others from the National Liberation Front of the Idlib Free Army.

The activists added that a plane dropped bombs on the Idlib Free Army fighters during their tie to the contacts bases with the Syrian government forces in the al-Hakoura village in the Sahl al-Ghab, wounding three of them. The fighters’ injuries were minor.

The activities noted that two fighters of the Idlib Free Army are from the al-Hwaiz and Bab al-Taka villages, while the third fighter is a displaced from the Eastern Ghouta in the Damascus countryside.

Last weeks, the Syrian government forces frequently targeted the Free Syrian Army and the Islamist battalions positions in Northern Hama, resulting in the death and injury of both sides, following the implementation of the Turkish-Russian demilitarization agreement of September 2018.
