Unknown shooters kill 15 members of the Syrian government forces members in an attack on a base in the Daraa governorate, Southern Syria.

On Monday, sources that are near the attacked base in the town of al-Mazayreeb in Daraa reported that on Saturday night and Sunday morning, unknown shooters attacked the base, killing the 15 members. The source added that the shooters also injured three members of the Syrian government forces, who were transported along with the bodies to the national hospital in the city of Daraa, according to medical sources.

The sources noted that the base belongs to the Syrian government forces’ 4th Division lead by Maher al-Assad, President Bashar al-Assad’s brother. The sources noted the Syrian government has not reacted to the attack yet.

Earlier, protestors in the town of Nahita in Dara tore a photo of Bashar al-Assad, which Syrian government supporters hung at the municipality building in the town. Syrian government’ supporters protested slogans demanding Assad’s overthrow.
