The Syrian government forces arrested a former Free Syrian Army (FSA) commander from the governorate of Daraa and two civilian families while they were going to Latakia.

On Tuesday, local sources reported that the Syrian government forces arrested the former FSA commander, Talal al-Shakran, who is called Abu Faraj Maarba, with two members of his family, as they were heading to the governorate of Latakia.

The sources added that al-Shakran is one of the former FSA commanders, who signed reconciliation with the Syrian government and joined the Fifth Division formed by Russia. The sources stated that there is no information on the reasons for detention.

Assassinations and explosions spread in the governorate of Daraa, amid the absence of the Syrian government’s security, killing and injuring officials and fighters.
