Damascus - SMART

The Syrian government forces arrest a young man and his mother from the Daraa governorate, Southern Syria, during a visit to Damascus, and arrested another young man from the town of Tall Shehab on unknown charges.

On Tuesday, sources reported that the young man and his mother headed to Damascus to meet a person who alleged that he could get the young man out of Syria. The person asked the young man and his mother to head to the al-Umawyeen square where a Syrian government military security patrol arrested both of them.

The Syrian government forces also arrested a youth from the town of Tall Shihab, Daraa, in Damascus despite possessing a settlement card issued by the Syrian government, which should protect the youth from arbitrary arrests.

The Syrian government forces arrested two young men from the city of Da'el in Daraa at a checkpoint on the perimeter of the city. The reason behind the young men's arrest and their destination remains unknown.

The General Coordinator of the High Negotiations Committee in Daraa said that the Syrian government national security agreed to settle the situation of 115,000 people. The coordinator asked the residents to wait for an unspecified period of time until the final clearing of their names from the Syrian government's branches and checkpoints.

The Syrian government forces reached settlements in cities and towns in which the Free Syrian Army and Russia reached ceasefire agreements that called for the displacing of those who refused the agreements to Northern Syria.
