Idlib - SMART

On Thursday, a Syrian government forces missile shelling injured five members of a family, including four children, in a village in southern Idlib, Northern Syria.

Activists told SMART that the Syrian government forces based in the village of Tal Maraq targeted the village of al-Tah with thermobaric missiles, injuring two children that were transported to a nearby medical center.

The Civil Defense reported via its media outlets that the Syrian government forces based east of the Khan Shaykun area shelled al-Tah with highly explosive missiles, injuring one civilian and four children. The Civil Defense teams transported the injured civilians to medical centers.

The Syrian government forces and Russia frequently target different areas in the Idlib governorate with artillery and missile shells, killing and injuring civilians, although the area is included in the demilitarized zone agreement concluded between Turkey and Russia.
