On Wednesday night, unknown persons assassinated the head of the al-Yadouda village council, 8 kilometers northwest of Daraa, Southern Syria.

Local activists reported that unknown persons opened fire on the head of the village council, Mohammed Ahmad al-Manjar, from their car, without providing further information.

The activists stated that the people accused al-Manjar of cooperating with the Syrian government forces, but they did not know the reason for his assassination.

On January 5, 2019, unknown persons assassinated former commanders of the Free Syrian Army near the village of Kharab al-Shahem in the Daraa governorate.
