Aleppo - SMART

On Monday, the Free Police in the town of Kafr Hamra, 7 kilometers north of Aleppo, Northern Syria, warned residents against dwelling in buildings damaged by Syrian government forces bombings. Recently, three building in the town collapsed due to the damage.

Abdul Kafi, the town's Free Police commander, reported to SMART that in one week, three buildings collapsed due to damage and poor weather conditions.

Abdul Kafi warned local residents and internally displaced people in the town against dwelling in damaged houses for their own safety.

The civilian Ali Quraytem reported that a building collapsed in the town today, but no casualties were reported, as the family who used to live in the house had abandoned it.

A weather depression consisting of heavy rain and snow at high altitudes is hitting several areas in Syria, causing floods that swept away internally displaced people's tents and damaged farmlands.
