FSA brigade announces that it joined Sham Corps in western Aleppo

On Wednesday, the Free Syrian Army's Ahrar Darat Izzah Brigade announced joining the Sham Corps of the National Liberation Front (NLF) in western Aleppo, Northern Syria.

The commander of the Ahrar Darat Izzah, Mohammed Omar, confirmed that they joined the Sham Corps. Omar stated that their work will be concentrated in the city and neighboring villages. No further details were given.

Through its media, the Sham Corps published a statement issued by the Ahrar Darat Izzah. The statement said, “In response to what the legitimate and revolutionary duty dictates and given the circumstances in the region, we announce that we joined the Sham Corps.”

On Tuesday, the Brigades of al-Hawta, Anjarah, Kafrnaha, the Kafrnaha and Rama Martyrs, Jund Allah, Ahrar Auaijel, al-Tawheed and Martyr Yamin Ghayath from the governorates of Idlib and Aleppo announced that they joined the Sham Corps.

Earlier, the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham gained control of western Aleppo, the entire governorate of Idlib and the northern Hama countryside after days of clashes with the Free Syrian Army. The clashes killed and injured fighters on both sides and a number of civilians.
