On Friday, Russian and Syrian government forces shelling injured a civilian in the city of Kafr Zayta,30 kilometers north of Hama, Central Syria.

Local activists reported that Russian and Syrian government forces stationed in the Qubeibat al-Hawa base, northern Hama, shell residential neighborhoods in Kafr Zayta, injuring a civilian with medium injuries.

The activists added that the Shelling on Kafr Zayta coincided with a Syrian government forces’ tanks shelling on the village of al-Janabira and perimeter of the village of Tall-Othman.

On Thursday, a Russian rocket shelling killed a civilian in the town of al-Lataminah, northern Hama. On January 11, 2019, a Syrian government forces’ shelling killed a child and injured her mother in al-Lataminah.

The Syrian government forces continue to bomb northern Hama despite the Russian- Turkish agreement reached on September 17, 2018. The agreement stated the Syrian government forces control a ceasefire and the establishment of a demilitarized zone that separates from those controlled by the Free Syrian Army and Islamist battalions in Idlib and northern Hama.
