On Saturday, a landmine left behind by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), killed a civilian and injured two others in the city of Afrin near Aleppo, Northern Syria.

Local sources reported to SMART that the landmine was planted in farmland near the entrance of the city of Afrin. The landmine exploded and killed a displaced man from Eastern Ghouta in Damascus and injured two others, who were transported to a nearby medical center.

Earlier, a vehicle triggered a landmine on the road between the towns of Baei and Jindayris, slightly injuring a civilian.

Several explosions occurred in northern and eastern Aleppo, killing and injuring dozens of civilians and Free Syrian Army fighters. The Islamic State and the SDF were accused of the explosions. The police and local councils took precautionary measures to avoid casualties after the explosions.
