On Thursday, the Turkish border guards shot and killed a woman and injured a civilian in western Idlib, Northern Syria.

A medical source reported that the Turkish gendarme targeted a small bus on the road between the town of Darkush and the village of al-Darya, western Idlib, killing a woman and injuring a man. The man was transferred to a nearby hospital in the region.

On Dec. 22, 2018, the Turkish gendarme killed two civilians while trying to cross the Syrian-Turkish border illegally, northwestern Idlib.

The Turkish gendarme continues to target civilians while trying to cross the border from Syria illegally, amidst Turkey's security tightening and building a barrier wall along its 911-kilometer border to prevent the refugees from entering, killing and injuring civilians.
