Aleppo - SMART

On Sunday, the Free Police organized a demonstration in the city of Andan in northern Aleppo, Northern Syria, to confirm the continuation of their work and denounce attempts to restrict it.

40 Free Police officers and civilians participated in the demonstration, during which they held banners saying, "We continue to serve the people despite all circumstances."

Free Police commanders gave speeches in which they stressed their independence as an institution and their rejection to be affiliated with any party.

The Free Police objected to the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS)'s attempt to transfer its administration to the Salvation Government, which operates in HTS-controlled areas,  after the HTS expanded in western and northern Aleppo at the expense of the National Liberation Front.
