Aleppo -  SMART

On Sunday, two families clashed in the town of Talmans, 33 kilometers south of Idlib, Northern Syria, killing one civilian.

Local sources reported to SMART that the two families clashed due to a dispute over a piece of farmland. Members of the al-Omar family fired guns in the town, killing a young man and injuring another. The killer managed escaped.

The sources added that the security service of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, which controls the area, did not intervene to end the clashes.

Last month, clashes between the families of al-Turki and Shartah killed a civilian and injured another in the town of Has in Idlib.

Clashes between families have become frequent in Northern Syria due to the unregulated spread of weapons, while local administrations and military factions struggle to prevent the disputes.
