On Wednesday, the death toll of the massacre committed by the Syrian government forces in the city of Maarrat al-Nu'man in southern Idlib, Northern Syria, increased to 12, and the number of wounded increased to 30.

Obada Thikra, the head of the Civil Defense center in Maarrat al-Nu'man, said that the death toll was 10 men, one woman and one child, while the number of wounded reached 24 men, two women and four children. Thikra added that the Syrian government's shelling destroyed homes and other private property.

On Tuesday, the Syrian government forces stationed in eastern Maarrat al-Nu'man shelled residential neighborhoods and street markets in the city, using 20 artillery and rocket missiles, killing and injuring dozens of civilians, including women and two children.

The Syrian government forces and Russia continue to shell Idlib, killing and injuring civilians despite the Russian-Turkish demilitarization agreement in the area.
